Culture Road Festival's 20th stop opens in İstanbul for the sixth time

The ministry's Türkiye Culture Road Festival will be held in Istanbul for the sixth time on September 26-October 4 as its 20th stop. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at AKM at the opening.

Ersoy announces 80 percent of Haydarpaşa piles have perished

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced that 80 percent of the wooden piles in the foundation have perished, that injection is being applied against the risk of liquefaction, and that the first phase will be completed in 2027 under the renewed schedule.

Tablet piece found in Hattuşa turned out to belong to the Kadesh Peace Treaty

It was determined that the cuneiform tablet piece found in Hattuşa, the Hittite capital in Çorum, belongs to one of the copies of the Kadesh Peace Treaty. Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced the discovery.

Hattusa tablet contains Treaty of Kadesh provisions on asylum seekers

A cuneiform tablet fragment found during excavations at Büyükkale in the Hittite capital of Hattusa in Çorum was determined to belong to one of the copies of the Treaty of Kadesh. Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced on World Peace Day that the fragment contains provisions regarding those seeking refuge from one country to another.

Actress Gülsen Tuncer laid to rest in Şişli

Gülsen Tuncer, known for her role as Arsen Hanım in the TV series Aşk-ı Memnu, died at the age of 81 on September 17 following treatment for a brain tumor. Her husband Engin Ayça and colleagues attended the ceremony at Şişli Mosque; Tuncer will be buried in Kozlu Cemetery.
