Trabzon

Trabzon is the city that is the center of Türkiye's Trabzon province. It lies in the Eastern Black Sea section of the Black Sea Region and has a coastline on the Black Sea. It became a metropolitan municipality under a law passed in 2012, and the central district was abolished with the establishment of Ortahisar district.

Damage assessment ongoing in İyidere and Pazar following flood in Rize

In the heavy downpour in Rize, 16 workplaces and 3 residences in İyidere, along with 40 businesses, 9 neighborhoods, and 7 villages in Pazar were damaged. Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş announced there were no casualties and about 40 houses were evacuated.

Heavy rain disrupts transport in Trabzon, yellow-code warning issued for four provinces

The Trabzon Governor's Office reported that rainfall reached about 50 kilograms per square meter in some parts of the city, that 114 calls were received by the 112 Emergency Call Center, and that 533 personnel were deployed. The Meteorology authority issued a yellow-code warning for Giresun, Trabzon, Rize and Artvin for September 19.

3 people rescued from car swept away in flood in Ürgüp, fields flooded in Niğde

In the village of Karakaya in Nevşehir's Ürgüp district, three people in a car swept by floodwaters and trapped against a bridge were rescued with the help of villagers. In Niğde, cultivated land in some towns was flooded, while heavy rain disrupted traffic in Trabzon and caused a power outage in one neighborhood.
