Floodwaters receded in İyidere and Pazar following heavy downpours in the Eastern Black Sea region, with cleanup underway at businesses. İyidere Mayor Saffet Mete said 9 neighborhoods and 7 villages were damaged, with no casualties and 7 homes evacuated; Pazar Mayor Neşet Çakır said some neighborhood roads remain closed.
It is estimated that over 150 kilograms per square meter of rain fell in İyidere. Pazar Mayor Neşet Çakır stated that many workplaces and warehouses in the city center were affected by flooding. Municipality, special administration, DSI and Highways teams continue cleanup efforts with machinery.
