BIST 100 falls 5.54%, Financial Stability Committee to meet in the morning

BIST 100 fell 5.54% on September 16 to 13,122.58 points; the decline was driven by a portfolio management company defaulting on fund payments and Middle East tensions. The Financial Stability Committee will meet on September 17 at 08:00 chaired by Minister Şimşek.

The circuit breaker was triggered at 16:04, temporarily halting trading on the stock market. During the day, the banking index fell more than 4% and the IT index more than 5%. The ministry stated that recent movements would be discussed at the meeting.

Tera Portföy declares default in two funds, payment periods extended in six funds

Banking regulator: deposit insurance fund to exercise shareholder rights at Golden Global Investment Bank
