On September 14, an operation led from Istanbul across 20 provinces targeted 12 separate "new generation" organized crime groups, detaining 178 suspects; searches turned up weapons, ammunition and narcotics. Of 42 people detained in a Muğla-based operation, 20 were referred to the courthouse.
In the investigation targeting organisations whose leaders are abroad and for some of whom red notices have been issued, 155 suspects were caught at first, and 178 in total. At the addresses, 1 automatic handgun, 4 unlicensed handguns, 2 hunting shotguns, 207 cartridges and 122 grams of narcotics were seized. The detained suspects are still undergoing police procedures.
