Court lifts injunction on CHP's Istanbul branch, Tekin's temporary duty ends

The Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance lifted the interim injunctions dated September 2, 2025, citing "changed circumstances and conditions." Gürsel Tekin said that since Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had appointed him as provincial chairman, his duty continued in an "appointed" capacity.

The court evaluated the legal and factual developments put forward in the plaintiff's petition dated September 14. In a statement to Bengü Türk TV, Tekin said his duty continues with the appointment of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. The CHP is expected to determine its new provincial chair at the upcoming Central Executive Committee (MYK) meeting.
