Türkiye finishes World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships with 3 medals

Türkiye completed the 2026 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships held in South Korea with 1 gold and 2 bronze medals. The over-60 men's team consisting of Mustafa Yılmaz, Mehmet Örkan, and Teyfik Çelik became world champions.

With this result, the national team won its first gold medal in the poomsae branch since 2016. Şeyda Nur Yavuz and Furkan Bayrak won bronze in the under-30 mixed pairs, and Mustafa Yılmaz won bronze in the under-65 individual event. The flag for the 2028 championship was handed over to Antalya.
