10.1 billion liras in additional assessments and fines in 8 months of customs inspections

The Ministry of Trade announced that it issued 10.1 billion liras (TL) in additional assessments and fines during customs inspections in the first 8 months of 2026. The amount increased by 32% compared to the same period last year.

During inspections, 717 secondary control reports were prepared within 18 regional directorates. A total of 142,768 customs declarations were re-examined, with irregularities found in 23,132. Audits of 160 risky companies resulted in 1.8 billion lira in additional assessments and fines.
