In a gendarmerie operation carried out in Diyarbakır's Lice and Kulp districts, 99 illicit cannabis cultivation plots were identified, 217,608 cannabis and skunk roots were destroyed, and 15 kilograms of cannabis were seized.
The Interior Ministry said 5 tonnes of powdered cannabis could have been produced from the seized plants. The operation involved 64 teams and 570 personnel, with remote sensing systems used.
