Eighty women from the women's movement, politics, academia, and rights advocacy released a joint statement to organize a peace and democracy conference in Ankara on October 31-November 1.
The signatories stated that steps toward resolving the Kurdish issue through negotiation and democratic politics have initiated a new era. The statement emphasized the social importance of ending violence and conflict. The goal is to design a common future with the equal participation of women from different segments.
