Adalar deputy mayoral election postponed to September 23 after CHP absence

The deputy mayoral election in Adalar Municipality was postponed to Wednesday, September 23, at 10:00 after CHP council members did not attend the meeting. CHP Spokesperson Müslim Sarı announced the party would not attend; Medine Pamuk had resigned on September 14.

There are 7 members eligible to vote in the assembly. Of these, 4 are from CHP, 2 from AK Party, and 1 is independent. CHP assembly members did not attend the meeting following a dispute over a petition regarding the resignation of detained former Deputy Mayor Fırat Durak.
