Central Bank (TCMB) total reserves fell by approximately $4.2 billion in the week of September 18 to $174.5 billion. The decline since August 21 reached $13.9 billion.
The decline pointed to 43.7 billion dollars below the historic peak of 218.2 billion dollars on January 30. Reserves, which recovered in July, had started to decline after peaking at 188.4 billion dollars on August 21. The four-week loss reached 13.9 billion dollars.
