Istanbul University students marched against the price of a single meal rising from 52.50 TL to 70 TL. With three price hikes in the past year, the overall increase reached 180%.
Students stated that there had been three price increases in the past year, reaching 180 percent. They expressed that the price increase, along with the inadequacy of KYK scholarships, has put students in a difficult situation. The group gathered in front of the rectorate building and marched to the dining hall with slogans.
