Yenilik Partisi Chairman Öztürk Yılmaz called the Presidential Board and the Sovereignty Assembly to an extraordinary meeting for Thursday, September 24 at 11:00 due to a name dispute with YENİ Parti. Decisions will be announced at 15:00.
The Court of Cassation had given YENİ Party 30 days to change its name. Once the deadline expired, it referred the matter to the Constitutional Court on its own. Yılmaz said he would announce the meeting’s decisions at a press conference at 15.00 the same day.
