With the participation of the Interior Ministry and the Education Ministry, seven ministries signed a school safety protocol for the 2026-2027 academic year. Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi said that 31,000 garden staff were employed.
The protocol covers the Justice, Family and Social Services, Youth and Sports, Labour and Social Security, and Health ministries. Çiftçi said they increased measures after last year's incidents in Kahramanmaraş and Şanlıurfa. Based on risk analysis, police were assigned to schools deemed first- and second-degree risks.
