Türkiye Film Festival on 26-27 September across 75 provinces with 17 films, tickets at 90 liras

Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Türkiye Cinema Festival will be held on 26-27 September across approximately 1,500 halls in 75 provinces, featuring 17 domestic and foreign films. All tickets will be 90 lira (TL) for two days, and sales started today.

Hattusa tablet contains Treaty of Kadesh provisions on asylum seekers

A cuneiform tablet fragment found during excavations at Büyükkale in the Hittite capital of Hattusa in Çorum was determined to belong to one of the copies of the Treaty of Kadesh. Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced on World Peace Day that the fragment contains provisions regarding those seeking refuge from one country to another.

Ersoy reopens 5 mosques and a castle restored in Kahramanmaraş

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy reopened Kahramanmaraş Castle, damaged in the 6 February earthquake, to visitors and 5 mosques to worship after restoration. The ministry has so far used resources exceeding 12.2 billion lira in 11 provinces affected by the earthquake, and total investment is targeted to reach 34 billion lira.
