The Capital Markets Board (SPK) suspended buying and selling of funds managed by Tera, Pusula, Hedef, Atlas, A1, Pardus and Bulls Portföy on TEFAS; according to ForInvest data, a liquidation decision was taken for 130 funds, and the equity ratio for margin trading was lowered to 20%.
The SPK cited developments in Borsa Istanbul and credit and liquidity problems in the funds as the reason for the decision. The equity protection ratio for leveraged transactions was lowered from 35 percent to 20 percent. The new application will remain in effect until the end of the session on 2 October.
