İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, in an interview with Sözcü, said "The final word belongs to the nation" regarding the "Terror-Free Türkiye" process and described claims that a house was being built at İmralı for a convict as a "crime."
Dervişoğlu described holding a prisoner sentenced to life imprisonment outside prison as a practice that 'ignores the laws'. He described those seeking a status for terrorism convicts and those opening the unitary structure to debate as 'provocateurs'. He made the statements while answering questions from Sözcü's Ankara representative Saygı Öztürk.
