The sister of 27-year-old motorcycle courier Batuhan Karabulut, who died on March 17 after being hit from behind on the TEM Highway, said the incident was "not a traffic accident, but murder"; driver Uğur S., who is being tried for "causing death through conscious negligence," was rearrested.
It was learned that Karabulut, who lost his life in the accident, was a secondary school graduate, paid his house rent and bills with the money he earned, and took care of his two siblings aged 10 and 14. The defendant's alcohol test taken five hours after the incident showed 1.43 per mille.
