Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi said on TGRT Haber that 99.22% of stray animals had been collected, with work still ongoing in Istanbul, İzmir and Diyarbakır. Çiftçi said they aim to complete the process by October 15 in Istanbul and by the end of October in Diyarbakır.
The minister said that the process would be completed in Antalya by the end of this month, with targets of 15 October for Istanbul and the end of October for Diyarbakır. He said he expected the issue to be off Türkiye's agenda by the end of October.
