Trakya Birlik set the advance purchase price for sunflower seed with 44% oil content at 37,000 lira per ton; it reported that 235,979 tons have been purchased since the start of the season.
The union announced that developments in global production, exchange rates and financing costs were analysed in the price-setting process. Product acceptance continues with 109 purchasing centres affiliated to 48 cooperatives and two factories. Thanks were given to farmers who delivered their products before the price was announced.
