It was stated that once the 293-kilometer line coordinated by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure is completed, travel between Ankara and Samsun will decrease to approximately 2.5 hours. With a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour, the line is projected to have an annual capacity of 14 million tons of freight and 12 million passengers.
Within the project, the stations of Ankara, Kırıkkale, Delice, Sungurlu, Çorum, Merzifon, Havza, Kavak, and Samsun will be connected. Work continues day and night on the 120-kilometer Delice-Çorum section of the line. The line, to be equipped with electric and signal systems, will have an annual freight capacity of 14 million tons.
