The Ağrı Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry announced that, by decision of the Provincial Animal Health Police Commission, the Provincial Livestock Market will be closed for 30 days starting October 18, and that livestock movement from quarantined villages has also been temporarily halted.

By commission decision, animal shipments from villages declared protection and surveillance zones were temporarily halted. Authorities asked for compliance with quarantine rules and biosecurity measures.
