Bozova Public Prosecutor Türkşad Kunthan Uçuk, suspended for three months by the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) on September 18, surrendered to Tekirdağ Courthouse with his lawyer after a detention order. The court imposed a travel ban citing "strong suspicion of crime"; Uçuk stated he did not publish the video.
After his statement, the judge to whom he was referred imposed a travel ban, citing that evidence had not been fully collected. Uçuk argued that he recorded the video during a WhatsApp argument with his ex-wife and sent it only to her, not to the press. He is also known as the name who referred Gülşen to court with a request for arrest.
