90 universities from Türkiye enter URAP field ranking, İTÜ leads in 28 fields

In the 2025-2026 world field ranking by METU Informatics Institute's URAP, the number of universities from Türkiye rose from 89 to 90, with İTÜ leading in 28 fields. 2,566 universities from 121 countries were listed across 78 fields.

China ranks first with 422 universities, followed by the United States with 293 and India with 146 institutions. Türkiye increased its number of representatives from 89 last year to 90 and was listed in 48 of 78 fields. Its strongest presence is in medicine and health with 82 universities and engineering with 36.
