Burhan Özfatura, 83, was taken to Dokuz Eylül University Hospital after suffering sudden cardiac arrest at his home in Balçova. Chief Physician Emel Çalıkoğlu reported that he remains in critical condition, while his son Fatih Özfatura stated his heart stopped for approximately 40 minutes and he remains unconscious.
Özfatura's heart stopped for about 40 minutes, so blood did not reach his brain and he is unconscious. Treatment continues in the Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit by specialist physicians, and the university rector is also closely monitoring the process.
