The Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change announced that 15 beaches were made available for free use over the past two years under the Public Beach Project. An area of 24,682 square meters across 5 provinces is expected to serve 636,000 visitors annually.
Under the project, 8 beaches were organized in Muğla last year, while 7 new ones were opened this year in Fethiye, İzmir, Balıkesir, Edirne, and Antalya. Umbrellas, showers, and toilets are free at the beaches, and kiosks apply an affordable pricing policy.
