Under Law No. 5403 and the relevant regulation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is leasing out agricultural lands that have remained uncultivated for two consecutive years on a seasonal basis, with lease payments made to their owners; the announcement process that began on September 1 continues.
The application aims to include idle lands in the Farmer Registration System and incorporate them into production planning, and to strengthen food supply security. While rental fees are paid to the owners, the identification and announcement process is carried out by the Ministry.
