The lifeless body of 54-year-old Ayşegül Yaşar, who went missing in the Düziçi district of Osmaniye, was found in the Andırın district of Kahramanmaraş; one suspect confessed to the murder. One suspect was arrested in the case of Abdülhamid Terkin, who was murdered in Istanbul in 2018.
The arrested suspect Seyfettin Güney was remanded in custody on charges of intentional killing. It was determined that Yaşar had been buried with a sack over her head and her hands and neck bound. Justice Minister Gürlek said the investigations were being conducted under the coordination of the Department for Investigation of Unsolved Crimes.
