Detained İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu made his defence at the hearing in Silivri and said he had appeared at about 100 hearings. The indictment alleges 122,305 lira 70 kuruş in public damage; the case was adjourned to 23 October.
In his defense, İmamoğlu said the case was political. He recounted that during his tenure as Beylikdüzü Mayor, the monthly cost of a leased official vehicle exceeded $3,000, so he used his own car. The court adjourned the trial involving 12 defendants to October 23.
