Erhürman wants a result-oriented 5+1 before New York

Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) President Tufan Erhürman will meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UN Cyprus Personal Representative Maria Angela Holguin in New York on September 23. He said they want a 5+1 meeting that will yield results and negotiations that will lead to a solution.

Erhürman will meet with Holguin on September 24 and Guterres on September 26. Confidence-building measures, negotiation methodology and substantive issues are on the agenda. New crossing points and mine clearance are also on the table.
