Tufan Erhürman

Sixth and current President of the KKTC

Tufan Erhürman is a Turkish Cypriot politician, jurist and academic. He served as prime minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus between 2018 and 2019, and was elected president in the election of 19 October 2025 as the candidate of the Republican Turkish Party.

Erhürman wants a result-oriented 5+1 before New York

Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) President Tufan Erhürman will meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UN Cyprus Personal Representative Maria Angela Holguin in New York on September 23. He said they want a 5+1 meeting that will yield results and negotiations that will lead to a solution.

Erhürman receives Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz

Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) President Tufan Erhürman received Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, who is on the island for official meetings, at the Presidency in Nicosia; Türkiye's Ambassador to Nicosia Ali Murat Başçeri also attended. 15 Turkish Cypriots found in mass grave in Atlılar buried 52 years later

Fifteen identified Turkish Cypriots killed and placed in a mass grave in the village of Atlılar on August 14, 1974, were buried in a state ceremony, including two infants aged 40 days and 16 months. Cevdet Yılmaz, Tufan Erhürman and Ünal Üstel attended the ceremony.
