In the fourth round of the Adalar Municipality acting mayor election, AK Party candidate Kemal Türkyılmaz was elected with 5 votes. AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chair Abdullah Özdemir spoke after the election.
The election was held after acting mayor Medine Pamuk resigned from her post due to health problems. CHP and the New Party did not vote in the final round. Abdullah Özdemir said the mayor was removed from office due to bribery operations.
