Customs enforcement teams seized 1,716.5 kilograms of pregabalin, a substance whose sale without a prescription is prohibited, in three operations in Mersin. The investigation continues under the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
The Trade Ministry announced that the operations were carried out as a result of risk analysis and intelligence efforts. It was noted that the seized substance poses a particular risk of addiction among young people. The ministry said the fight against smuggling is ongoing.
