According to the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry, renewables made up 62.9% of Türkiye's installed electricity capacity at the end of August. The combined share of solar and wind reached 34.2%.
Domestic sources accounted for 72.1% of total installed capacity. Installed solar capacity reached about 28,000 megawatts and wind about 15,400 megawatts. Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said they would increase the share of renewable sources.
