Energy and Natural Resources Ministry

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources is the ministry responsible for affairs related to energy and natural resources. It was established in 1963 and is affiliated with the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye. Its minister is Alparslan Bayraktar.

Nuclear energy agreement signed between Türkiye and the United States

A project-based nuclear cooperation agreement was signed between TÜNAŞ and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) at the Turkish House in New York. Small modular and fourth-generation reactor designs will be evaluated.

Türkiye generated 442.2 terawatt-hours of electricity from solar and wind in 2015–2025

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources reported that Türkiye generated 442.2 terawatt-hours of electricity from solar and wind power between 2015 and 2025. This generation was stated to have prevented $21.5 billion in coal imports and 354 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
