Greek newspaper Kathimerini reported that Türkiye had sped up preparations for a subsea gas pipeline project to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC), with a NAVTEX declaration from Antalya expected in early October.
According to the newspaper, the Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Ministry briefed the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the Turkish Defence Ministry (MSB) and TPAO on the project. Seismic surveys are planned to be carried out by the Oruç Reis vessel escorted by warships.
