TPAO applied to obtain an operating license for the oil-bearing land discovered in its oil exploration license area in the Black Sea. The decision was published in the Official Gazette.
According to the decision of the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs of the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry, TPAO applied on September 16 for an area of 56,774 hectares in sheet C26. The duration of TPAO's oil exploration license in the Kara region of Tekirdağ was also extended to May 31, 2028.
