The CHP Foreign Policy Board asked that necessary measures be taken against rising attacks on Turkish-flagged or Turkish-owned commercial ships in the Black Sea. The board said warring parties should limit and declare their naval warfare zones.
The board announced support for diplomatic efforts with Ukraine in its statement. It recalled that under the Montreux Convention security in the Black Sea is the responsibility of the littoral states and asked that commercial ships not be interfered with outside war zones. On Cyprus, it repeated the view that there is no option other than a two-state solution.
