The Trade Ministry's Advertising Board found that artificial engagement in e-commerce such as fake reviews, likes and followers misleads consumers, ruling the practices unlawful.
In its examinations, the Board also treated as misleading paid services to have products favourited or added to carts, and directing people who had not bought a product to post reviews.
