AK Party Deputy Chair Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya's resignation from party duties was accepted. AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik announced that Kaya no longer sits on the party's boards.

YENİ Party Spokesperson Zeynel Emre had claimed that Kaya bought shares worth 63 million lira from Özata Denizcilik in April and sold them for 1.3 billion lira. Çelik said the claims about the fund transactions were being assessed within the party on the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
