The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced it had ex officio launched an investigation into YENİ Party Antalya MP Mustafa Erdem on a bribery charge. In the investigation, messages on a detained suspect's phone allegedly discuss a $5 million case-following deal in the forensic process in favour of Muhittin Böcek.
The prosecution said action was taken in line with the evidence. It was stated that the messages in detained Arda Birinci's digital materials showed the process had not concluded and a refund had come up.
