Latest in the series Interior Ministry: 264 detained in drug raids in 35 provinces
The Interior Ministry announced that 473 suspects were caught in cybercrime operations held in 25 provinces in the last 5 days. Of the suspects, 286 were arrested and 92 were placed under judicial control, while procedures for the others are ongoing.
The operations, coordinated by the General Directorate of Security, the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) and chief public prosecutor's offices, addressed fraud, illegal betting and unauthorised account access charges. The ministry said the suspects had used social media platforms and phishing sites.
