Inspection begins at hazelnut exchanges, growers protest with tractors in Sakarya

The Trade Ministry assigned inspectors to examine transactions at the Ordu, Giresun, Ünye and Fatsa commodity exchanges. In Kocaali, Sakarya, growers formed a convoy of about 130 tractors to protest the Soil Products Office (TMO)'s purchase prices of 255 lira for Giresun quality and 250 lira for Levant quality.

The ministry has launched an inspection of transactions at the Ordu, Giresun, Ünye and Fatsa commodity exchanges with its inspectors. The Agricultural Workers' Union supported the convoy in Kocaali. According to the prices announced by TMO, Sivri quality is being bought at 245 lira.
