Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, speaking on NTV, described comments that the Mecca Alliance "remained on paper" as an effort to "discredit" it. Fidan said they were assigned to set up a joint planning group for Syrian dossiers, and stated no concrete step was taken in the disarmament process in northern Iraq.
Fidan said there is a desire to advance the YPG integration process in Syria in a controlled manner on all sides. He noted that no concrete steps have been taken in the disarmament process in northern Iraq for more than a year. He stated that the alliance would not face difficulties meeting military needs against Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.
