In an interview with T24's Murat Sabuncu, New Party Chairman Özgür Özel highlighted the seventh article of the framework law regarding democratization and rejected criticism that he created opposition between Abdullah Öcalan and Selahattin Demirtaş, saying "I am not in favor of stirring conflict."
In his statement to Murat Sabuncu of T24, Özel said the disarmament process is the committee report's sixth item and that the real gain will come from the democratization steps in the seventh item. Responding to criticism that he is creating a contrast between Abdullah Öcalan and Selahattin Demirtaş, he said: 'I am not on the side of inciting a fight.'
