Mehmet Ç. was arrested on charges of influence peddling and publicly disseminating false information for using artificial intelligence to insert himself into photos of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Justice Minister Akın Gürlek and sharing them on his WhatsApp status.
The investigation is being conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Judicial sources stated that the suspect created the impression that he had influence with senior public officials. The scope of the other charge includes creating anxiety, fear or panic among the public.
