Yeni Malatyaspor has been relegated to the amateur league by decision of the PFDK for not playing the first two matches in the 3rd League this season; its 19-year professional league adventure has ended.
The Malatya team competed for the first time in the Süper Lig in the 2017-2018 season and played in that league for five seasons. The club, which finished 5th in the league in 2018-2019, had earned the right to participate in the UEFA Europa League.
