President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan answered questions in New York about the fund investigation affecting 455,000 investors. He said those responsible will be held accountable before the law and that the problem is limited to a certain number of funds.
Erdoğan noted that there is no risk to the financial system or the Turkish economy. He said some detentions and arrests have been made and that legal and administrative measures will be taken to prevent a similar problem. He also stated that the United Nations needs reform.
