MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız said members of parliament should not use vehicles with flashing lights outside their legislative duties. Yıldız criticized those who use flashing lights for their private affairs.
Yıldız pointed to Article 71 of Law No. 2918 on Highway Traffic and Article 141 of the Traffic Regulation, stating that the use of flashing lights is granted to a limited number of official vehicles. He said, "We see colleagues using flashing lights while going to the barber, greengrocer, grocery store, or strolling in the countryside."
